Taking private sector on board has yielded encouraging results: Kamal

Karachi: City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that youth play key role in any society as only they could bring about revolutionary changes. Youth in Karachi should proud on this fact that Karachi is a most important city of Pakistan and it plays key role in the progress of the country.
He expressed these views while talking to a delegation comprising volunteers of United Youth of Karachi at his office on Monday.
The volunteers on this occasion presented their services for “I Own Karachi” program. Appreciating the efforts of City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal in the launching of City Owners program, they expressed their enthusiasm for contribution in voluntary services.
Nazim Karachi said that Haq Parast city government has from its first day in office, tried to take the community on board to ensure drastic changes in these organizations.
He said that besides the bureaucracy, town and union council nazmeen, we have also included prominent persons from private sector in our team which has given encouraging results. Private sector has also contributed voluntarily first time in the public service works. Nazim Karachi said that he himself has coordinated with private sector after constituting especial committees for improvement in health and education sector.
He said that no government can eliminate poverty, but a good government can provide such a favorable environment and opportunities where everyone has basic facilities such as water, sewerage, education, health care and infrastructure.
Nazim Karachi said that city government has ensured all basic facilities for common men in Karachi. The infrastructure has been up graded which has decreased the travel time up to a great extent.
He said that Haq Parast leadership has served the humanity. The youth should now own this city and protect development projects aimed to provide convenience to citizens. Government alone can not bring about revolutionary change without active participation of public.
