CDGK to establish two more cardiac hospitals

KARACHI: City District Government Karachi is establishing two more cardiac hospitals in Landhi and Shah Faisal Colony and treatment in these hospitals will start within next two months.
This was decided in a meeting of Governing Body of Karachi Institute of Heart Diseases held under the chairmanship of Nazim Karachi Syed Mustafa Kamal. The meeting was attended by Dr Abdul Samad, S.M. Munir, Masood Naqi, Abdul Haseeb Khan, Yasin Malik, Mohammed Siddiq, Dr A.D. Sajnani, Dr Waqar Kazmi, Dr S.M. Rub, Dr Nasir Javed and Dr Haroon Imtiaz. It was decided that service of absent doctors and those negligent in their duties will be terminated.
Appreciating the overall performance of KIHD, it was decided that phased steps would be taken to make it a medical education institution and provide it with further facilities.
