CDGK to provide funding for up gradation of National Stadium

KARACHI, City Nazim Syed Mustufa Kamal said that City District Government Karachi (CDGK) will provide funds for upgradation of the country's premier Test centre - National Stadium Karachi (NSK).

He made these observations to the media during his visit to NSK alongwith Director General, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Javed Miandad to inspect the facilities at the stadium.

He said besides providing the funding for improving the stadium and making it a world class facility, the CDGK will also provide technical assistance and machinery for its upgradation.

Secretary KCCA Syed Siraj-ul- Islam Bukhari, DCO Javed Hanif, EDO Masood Alam, Liaquat Ali Khan and other officials were also present on the occasion.

Mustufa Kamal said city government will provide all the assistance and support to PCB in overall improvement of the stadium. He said all the outer area of the stadium will be developed into a green area.

He said City Government will make all the facilities available to PCB during Sri Lankan cricket team's One-day International and test match against Pakistan here.
